Born and raised in this vibrant town, she carries the legacy of her parents, K.V. Rajendran and Padma Sankar, both dedicated government employees, Son Rejudas.
Dr. Rajani Sree Rajendran’s educational journey began at Chittur.
Victoria Girls High School, where she honed her leadership skills as
the school leader at GHSS Chittur. Later, she pursued her college
education at Govt College Chittur, where she completed a computer
Teacher training course. Her thirst for knowledge led her to delve
into the legal field, culminating in an LLB degree, and she currently
continues her studies with an LLM.
However, it was her passion for agrotechnology and medicinal plants.
that truly set her on an extraordinary path. Under the guidance of a
prominent taxonomist, she received specialized training at the
Department of Science and Technology of the National Botanical
Research Institute in Lucknow. Dr. Rajani Sree Rajendran’s expertise
in this field led her to publish a book on the cultivation methods of
medicinal plants—an invaluable contribution to the scientific
community.
Life, however, had its share of challenges. In her youth, Dr. Rajani
Sree Rajendran faced near-death experiences due to some unfortunate
decisions. Yet, even in those darkest moments, she sensed an invisible
force guiding her—a force that defied adversity and fueled her
determination.
The birth of Sri Padma CSC marked a turning point. Amidst mental
stress and accusations, unseen hands unexpectedly supported her,
allowing her to write and pass an online exam. With the kindness of
others, she established a common service counter—a beacon of hope.

The pandemic posed new obstacles, threatening the counter’s survival.
But the women of the development group, Sthree Koottayma, stepped in.
Armed with an FSSAI license, they championed Rajendra Foods.
(Granma’s touch), promoting Palakkad’s riches—rotary organic
coconut oil, snacks, pickles, and dried ginger. Their products found
eager buyers in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Coimbatore, and
Palakkad.
Dr. Rajani Sree Rajendran’s commitment extended beyond commerce.
She uplifted women with handloom units, ensuring they had the
necessary resources. Sree Padmam Handlooms emerged, showcasing
their exquisite creations. Inspired by friends, she founded Sree.
Narayana Handicrafts empowers women through training in
jewelry making, flower art, Nettipattam, pottery painting, fabric
painting, mural art, umbrella crafting, and screen printing.
