Mysuru Yoga Enthusiast Set for Sun Gazing Record on Rathasaptami
On January 24, Badarinarayan Kaggadasa Srinivasan, a Mysuru-based Yoga enthusiast, will attempt to break the record for sun gazing without blinking for 28 minutes at noon, in celebration of Rathasaptami and his mother’s birthday. Amid burning ‘agni kundas’ near Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple, he will combine this feat with Pranayama. Known for creating records in Yoga, sun gazing, and Pranayama, Srinivasan previously performed a similar sun-gazing feat during the solar eclipse on December 26, 2019. Despite the risks, he has mastered the technique, beginning his record-setting journey in 2013 with a world record in performing Sirsasanas at over 1,000 heritage sites.
